Brief important information. 

English is the official language of the Conference.

Your badge is your admission to the scientific sessions, lunches, coffee breaks and social events. Participants are kindly requested to wear it at all times at the conference venue.

Participants requiring a VISA to travel to Croatia are kindly asked to apply for the request in their country. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a VISA. Please consider that obtaining a VISA may require from two to six weeks from the date of application. The letter of invitation can only be issued to participants who have paid the conference registration fee. Letter of invitation has to be requested via MyEPDIC17. The climate in Šibenik is typical Mediterranean. May is generally sunny and warm. The average temperature in May is 19-24°C

Currency, credit cards and banking information
The official currency is Croatian Kuna. Automatic teller machines (ATMs) are available in all Amadria park hotels. 

The organizers cannot accept the liability for injury or damage involving people and property during the EPDIC17. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Payment of registration fee will be done by credit card. Please follow the instructions as described in MyEPDIC17. Payment of hotel will be possible by both credit card and bank transfer.

IUCr Scientific Freedom Policy Statement

The Organizing Committee of the European Powder Diffraction Conference (EPDIC17) shall observe the basic policy of non-discrimination and affirms the right and freedom of scientists to associate in international scientific activity without regard to such factors as ethnic origin, religion, citizenship, language, political stance, gender, sex or age, in accordance with the Statutes of the International Council for Science.

At this Conference, no barriers will exist which would prevent the participation of bona fide scientists.

Statement on Gender Balance at EPDIC17
The EPDIC17 Organizing Committee, (which itself is composed according to the gender balance policy) fully supports and promotes gender equality in accordance to the IUCr principle:
